The groundbreaking ceremony for Wacker Chemie's expansion project of organic silicone emulsion and silicone oil products, which has a total investment of 1.1 billion yuan ($151.25 million), was held in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, Jiangsu province on Sept 26.
This project represents the largest single investment in Wacker Chemie's Zhangjiagang production base and is a testament to the deepening cooperation between the group and the city.
During his speech, Cai Jianfeng, mayor of Zhangjiagang, expressed his hope that Wacker would continue to invest and expand its presence in Zhangjiagang as well as bring in more high-quality projects and innovative resources to the city. The Zhangjiagang government is committed to creating a first-class business environment for companies.
