Sheng Lihao from Zhangjiagang clinched the gold medal with an impressive score of 253.3 points in the Men's 10m Air Rifle Individual Finals on Sept 25.
Earlier in the day, during the individual qualification round, Sheng secured the top spot with 634.5 points, breaking the Asian record.
In addition to his individual achievement, Sheng teamed up with fellow shooters Yu Haonan and Du Linshu to compete in the Men's 10m Air Rifle Team event and earned Team China a bronze medal.
Born in 2004 in Yangshe town, Sheng has quickly risen to prominence in the world of competitive shooting. During the Tokyo Olympics, at the age of 16, he won the silver medal in the Men's 10m Air Rifle Finals, making him the youngest medalist in the history of Olympic shooting events.
