The Zhangjiagang Intelligent Manufacturing Big Data Industrial Park, located in Leyu town, Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, Jiangsu province, is a municipal-level major project that is poised to become one of the largest and most advanced data centers in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Constructed with an investment of about 9 billion yuan ($1.26 billion) by Gangcheng Yunlian (Suzhou) Data Systems Co Ltd, the park covers an area of 14.2 hectares and represents the largest single investment in Leyu.
The development of the industrial park, which features 11 data centers, one substation, and one operation and maintenance center, is planned in multiple phases. Once the entire industrial park is fully operational, it is expected to generate an annual revenue exceeding 2 billion yuan, contributing significantly to the transformation of Zhangjiagang into a digital hub.
To date, two data center buildings and a 220 kV substation of the first phase have been completed.
Zuo Xiong, assistant to the general manager of Gangcheng Yunlian, said the distinguishing feature of the industrial park lies in its customizability, allowing it to offer fast, cost-effective, and diversified computing services to various clients.
The park has already inked framework cooperation agreements with China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom. It is also actively engaging in discussions with leading internet companies.
