Remacro Machinery and Technology Co (RMT) signed an agreement on May 29 to locate its production base for smart new energy vehicle cabins, smart medical beds, and precision structural parts in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.
The 10-billion-yuan ($1.4 billion) base will integrate Remacro's business in new energy, new materials, and healthcare. The smart new energy vehicle cabin project has established collaboration with leading Chinese automakers, while the precision structural parts project will use steel produced by Jiangsu Shagang Group, a local steel manufacturer in Zhangjiagang.
In addition, the smart medical bed project will make innovative breakthroughs in monitoring deep sleep and vital signs.
Han Wei, Party secretary of Zhangjiagang, said Remacro's new production base is expected to aid the city's industrial structure upgrading. The Zhangjiagang government will provide comprehensive services to ensure its construction, he added.
Established in 2011, Remacro is a leading home furniture supplier that specializes in making precision structural parts. The company currently has three research and development centers and five production bases across the world.
