With the rapid development of information technology and artificial intelligence (AI), many primary and middle schools in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, are incorporating AI into their classrooms to help students learn more about AI and improve their innovative abilities.
At Zhangjiagang Jiyang Lake Experimental School, every student has the opportunity to explore artificial intelligence using advanced equipment. During project-based AI classes, students can learn to identify problems in daily life and solve them through programming and by making robots.
To further enhance students' ability to use AI technology, Zhangjiagang Liangfeng High School has built an unmanned aerial vehicle and robotics center, as well as an artificial intelligence laboratory.
Qin Xiaojun, a teacher at the Zhangjiagang educational technological equipment office, said that 19 schools in Zhangjiagang have so far been designated as AI experimental schools by the Suzhou municipal government.
