China's first core hydrogen liquefaction equipment with a capacity of 10 tons per day (TPD) rolled off the line at Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Equipment Co in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province on April 15.
The equipment represents a major breakthrough in the domestic hydrogen energy industry.
Wu Pinfang, chairman of Guofu, said the company spent five years developing the equipment, which will soon be installed at a liquefied hydrogen factory of Qilu Hydrogen Energy in East China's Shandong province.
Zhangjiagang has been focusing on developing its hydrogen energy industry in recent years and made significant efforts to push ahead with the green and low-carbon transformation of its economic, industrial and energy systems. The city is now home to a 10-billion-yuan ($1.45 billion) hydrogen energy industrial cluster that comprises more than 30 companies specializing in production, storage, transportation, and application of hydrogen.
