Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, has been ramping up efforts to develop smart villages and agriculture in recent years.
As of the end of 2022, Zhangjiagang had 18 municipal-level smart villages and seven municipal-level model agricultural companies.
The city has improved its digital infrastructure for rural government departments to facilitate the sharing of data and resources and aid decision-making.
A number of intelligent agricultural bases, including the Changyinsha Smart Agriculture Platform, the Zhangjiagang Modern Agricultural Technology Demonstration Park, and the Leyu Smart Sheep Farm, have also been built in the city.
Zhangjiagang has been also promoting the integration of its agriculture and e-commerce industry.
