The Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, Jiangsu province held a meeting with representatives of its foreign companies on Dec 19.
According to officials from the zone, the FTZ is currently home to more than 400 foreign companies, including Dow, Dupont, Honeywell, and Merck. The companies have invested over $6 billion in the zone and generated more than half of the zone's gross output of industrial companies above designated size.
The foreign companies have also helped the zone build competitive industrial clusters by leveraging their advanced technologies and management methods.
Several policies related to foreign companies were also explained during the meeting.
