A concert for foreign investors to celebrate the upcoming Christmas and New Year was held in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province on Dec 15.
A series of traditional Chinese instrumental performances were staged to entertain the participants.
Cai Jianfeng, mayor of Zhangjiagang, said the city has been on the Forbes list of the best commercial cities in Chinese mainland for several years and that Zhangjiagang is currently home to over 1,000 foreign companies.
The city's actual utilization of foreign investment in 2022 is expected to reach $900 million, and this year's foreign trade is estimated to amount to $45.6 billion, said the mayor.
Cai added that Zhangjiagang will build a better business and living environment in 2023 to attract more foreign investors. He also expressed hope that foreign companies in the city can increase their investments and set up their regional headquarters in Zhangjiagang.
