Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, has been making efforts to build high-quality communities to attract talents and pursue innovation-driven development.
Several government departments in the city have formed an alliance to add incubators, apartments, medical and educational facilities, as well as commercial complexes to the communities. Customized preferential policies and professional government services are also offered to high-level talents.
In addition, the city holds roadshows every month to promote cooperation between investors and talents.
Talent communities in Zhangjiagang are currently home to 113 high-tech companies. Twenty-six national-level and 74 provincial-level projects have already been carried out in the communities.
"The business environment and comprehensive services in Zhangjiagang have provided great support to its companies," said Fu Yu, president of Jiangsu Jichong Hydrogen Energy Technology Co, which is based in the city.
