The taxation authorities in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, have been providing local enterprises with customized services to support their business operations.
Staff members from the city's tax service have made frequent visits to companies to explain policies and help with their problems.
Work teams comprising employees from different departments have also been established to help major projects in the city with tax-related issues. The teams have this year offered services to 66 projects that represent a combined 108.44 billion yuan ($15.54 billion) in investment.
Among the beneficiaries of these services is Tenpower, a leading lithium-ion battery cell developer and manufacturer in Zhangjiagang. The company is building a new plant that will cost 1.26 billion yuan.
