Okita Iron Works Co, a world leading manufacturer of car parts headquartered in Osaka, Japan, broke ground on its new plant in the Zhangjiagang Bonded Zone, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, on Nov 29.
The plant, which will cost 330 million yuan ($47.34 million) to build, is expected to have an annual output of 32,000 metric tons of precision devices.
The Zhangjiagang Bonded Zone is home to a number of Japanese companies, including Toyota, Asahi Kasei, Morita Chemical Industries, and Toyo Tires.
