Several sports sites and events in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, recently gained recognition from the Suzhou bureaus of sport as well as culture, radio, television and tourism.
Zhangjiagang Sports Park
Covering an area of 15.12 hectares, the Zhangjiagang Sports Park holds sports competitions and activities, including square dancing competitions and power walking activities, all year round.

The intelligent footpath in the park, which is powered by a Bluetooth system and digital technologies, can monitor people's amount of exercise in real time and rank them accordingly.
Dongshan Cup Stone Lock Invitational Tournament
Dongshan village in Zhangjiagang has held a series of stone lock invitational tournaments in recent years. Similar to kettlebells, stone locks were used by martial artists in ancient China to keep fit.
The tournaments have attracted the participation of many teams from cities in the Yangtze River Delta region. Other traditional Chinese sports, such as dragon and lion dances and diabolo, have also been featured in the tournaments.
CFA Beibei Cup Youth Football Games
Initiated by Zhangjiagang, the Beibei Cup Youth Football Games have been held 23 times and included in the Chinese Football Association's schedule of events since 2019.
About 300 to 600 young athletes from 16-32 teams from across the country will participate in the games. Many famous Chinese footballers, including Fan Zhiyi and Sun Jihai, have attended the event.
