The Zhangjiagang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, held a meeting with representatives from Japanese companies in the zone on Nov 15.
The meeting was part of the development zone's efforts to facilitate communication between governments and companies, as well as improve services for Japanese companies.
As of the end of 2021, the development zone was home to 26 Japanese companies, accounting for 10 percent of all foreign enterprises in the zone. Fifteen of these Japanese companies have annual sales revenues of more than 20 million yuan ($2.82 million).
The Japanese companies, including the world's leading automotive transmission manufacturer Jatco, bearings giant NSK, industrial robot company Nachi, and Fuji Oil Co, have contributed to the high-quality development of the ZETDZ's auto parts, intelligent equipment, and consumer goods industries.
