Primary and middle schools in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province have hosted a number of club activities to enrich students' school life this semester.
The clubs, which primarily revolve around science and technology, are part of efforts by local educational authorities to ease the burdens of excessive homework and off-campus tutoring for students.
The science and technology club in Leyu Central Primary School in Zhangjiagang offers 16 courses related to intellectual technologies, creative electronics, modeling and innovative manufacturing.
Similarly, the juvenile academy of science of Zhangjiagang No 8 Middle School is also offering more than 30 courses in fields including robot programming, drones and 3D printing.
