The Jiangsu Dongdu Textile Group in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province started construction of its factory in Vietnam on Sept 27.
The 227,000-square-meter factory, which will cost 1.08 billion yuan ($155.46 million) to build, is expected to have an annual output of 10,800 metric tons of fabrics and 21 million articles of clothing. Intelligent equipment and advanced central control systems will be installed to aid the company's research and development.

Dongdu has been selling to overseas markets for more than 20 years. Today, its products are sold in more than 20 countries in Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia. The company has its headquarters and R&D center in Zhangjiagang, its trade, finance and investment business in Singapore, and production plants in Southeast Asia and Jiangsu.
