The Gangqu Junior Middle School in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, and Southeast University in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu, launched a summer camp on July 30 to offer STEAM education.
STEAM education is an approach to learning that combines science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. It is aimed at helping students develop multiple skills through interdisciplinary studies.
During the six-day program, teachers and students from Southeast University will conduct lectures and classes on many subjects, including 3D printing and robots.
The summer camp is expected to increase students' knowledge and expand their horizons during summer vacation.
