The Shazhou Youhuang Cultural Park, which is located in Houcheng sub-district in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, was recently given a special mention award under the commercial factories and warehouses category during the 10th Architizer A+Awards.
The awards, established to honor the world's best buildings and spaces, received thousands of works from more than 80 countries this year, out of which only 5 percent received a special mention award.
The cultural park, spanning 83 mu (5.53 hectares), was built to showcase and promote the culture of Shazhou Youhuang, a yellow rice wine brand originating from Zhangjiagang. The park features a museum, a small town, a wine cellar, a stage on water, a children's playground and noodle shops.
