Changhua Chemical Technology Co, which is located in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, signed a cooperation agreement with UK company Econic Technologies on June 8.
The two companies will work together to produce carbon dioxide-based polyether polyols under low temperature and low air pressure.
Keith Wiggins, chief executive officer of Econic, said at the signing ceremony that the two companies will jointly pursue sustainable development.
Cai Jianfeng, mayor of Zhangjiagang, said the cooperation project is expected to accelerate the city's green transformation. He urged the Zhangjiagang Bonded Zone, where the project is located, to improve administrative services and work efficiency to aid the construction of the project.
Zhangjiagang has been focusing on the development of its emerging industries, including new energy, semiconductor, biomedicine, high-end medical equipment and digital economy, over the past few years, added Cai.
