China Post, a State-owned enterprise that operates the nation's official postal service, and a foreign-invested company recently established a joint venture in the Logos Zhangjiagang Modern Supply Chain Management Center in Leyu town, Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, Jiangsu province.
The joint venture will be able to handle more than 10,000 e-commerce parcels every day, said Shen Hongming, marketing director of the Zhangjiagang branch of China Post.
According to Shen, China Post plans to build south Jiangsu's largest warehouse for e-commerce at the center. The warehouse will be equipped with automated production lines that can process over 20,000 parcels every day.
The Logos Zhangjiagang Modern Supply Chain Management Center is sponsored by Logos Property Group, which is owned by Australia's Macquarie Group. It spans 187 mu (12.47 hectares) and was completed at the end of last year.
