Suzhou Deqi Sports Technology Co signed an agreement on May 11 to move its headquarters to Leyu town in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province.
The company specializes in the development and production of fabrics for sportswear and has established partnerships with many international sports brands.
It will invest 1 billion yuan ($148.89 million) to build an 80-mu (5.33-hectare) headquarters that includes a textile product laboratory, an optical analysis laboratory, a fabric development and testing base, and a self-developed fabric production base.
Han Wei, Party chief of Zhangjiagang, said at the signing ceremony that the local government will continue to improve the city's business environment and administrative services to aid the company's future development. He added the company is expected to bolster the growth of the high-end textile industry in the city.
A sports technology innovation center established by the company and the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was also unveiled during the ceremony.
