Chen Xiyun, deputy director of the equipment department at the converter steelmaking plant of Jiangsu Shagang Group, was recently recognized as a "supreme technician" by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security.
Chen has been maintaining electrical equipment at the plant in Zhangjiagang in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, since 1992. The senior engineer has won many provincial and national honors over the years.
Apart from Chen, 28 other people working in the production and scientific and technological research sectors were recognized as outstanding technicians.
