Jiangsu Yonggang Group, which is located in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, recently became the only steel company involved in a list of university-enterprise cooperation projects released by the Ministry of Education.
The list is part of efforts by the Department of College Students Affairs of the ministry to educate talents and stabilize employment.
The steel group has received approval to work with 14 universities, including the University of Science and Technology Beijing, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, and Anhui University of Technology, to start 15 projects related to matters such as setting up internship bases and training students for specific areas.
The company has also held many job fairs in colleges, organized lectures on career development and offered students career guidance. In addition, it has entrusted the training of corporate employees to universities and invited school teachers and students to attend industry forums and communicate with industry experts.
Talent is a major driver of the rapid and sustainable development of the company, said Wu Yi, president of Jiangsu Yonggang Group.
