Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province has seen the introduction and completion of a spate of projects in the first quarter of 2022. These projects are expected to boost the city's innovation-driven high-quality development.

On March 3, opening and completion ceremonies for 22 major projects were held in the Zhangjiagang Bonded Zone. With a combined 19.5 billion yuan ($3.06 billion) in investment, the projects are related to industries such as high-end equipment, new materials, new energy and biomedicine. A groundbreaking ceremony for the Jiangsu Deji High-end Textile Industrial Park took place that same day.

A few days earlier, the Zhangjiagang High-tech Development Zone held a similar event for 31 projects which have a combined 11.87 billion yuan in investment. The projects are involved in sectors like advanced manufacturing, digital economy, and infrastructure.

The Zhangjiagang government and municipal committee of the CPC will continue to improve the city's business environment and help with the construction of the projects and the development of local enterprises, said Han Wei, Party chief of Zhangjiagang, during the two ceremonies.
