Tableware made by Zhangjiagang Lucky Metal Handicraft Co in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province were featured in a welcome reception held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing for international distinguished guests who attended the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
The company's service plates were also seen at meetings between Chinese and foreign dignitaries in the hall. The plates feature patterns of evergreens, which symbolizes family reunion, long-standing friendship and prosperous country in Chinese culture, according to a director at the company.
The brand's tableware has also been used at other major events including the Expo 2010 Shanghai China, the G20 summit in 2016, as well as the first China International Import Expo in 2018.
The company currently has 25,000 square meters of workshops that are equipped with advanced production and testing equipment. It owns more than 600 copyrights, over 500 patents for products' exterior design, and eight invention patents.
Its metal carving skills were listed as an intangible cultural heritage item in Suzhou and have a history of over 2,000 years.
