The Zhangjiagang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province held an event on Jan 25 to attract talent and technology businesses.
Ten agreements for high-level talent attraction projects were signed during the event. Three academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering as well as two foreign experts were offered positions as advisors on the attraction of domestic and international talent.
More than 150 high-level talents in the development zone attended the meeting online.
Zhangjiagang has introduced a series of policies and set up a 1.5-billion-yuan ($235.84 million) fund to attract talent, said Han Wei, Party chief of Zhangjiagang. The city will continue to optimize its business environment and improve services for talents to help them best utilize their strengths, added Han.
