Jiangsu Shagang Group in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province had supplied 18,000 tons of high-quality steel bars and steel plates to the developers of the China-Laos Railway, which was officially opened on Dec 3.
The railway, a landmark Belt and Road Initiative project that connects Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan province, with Vientiane, the capital of Laos, took six years to complete.
It is the first international railway project to be invested and operated by China. Chinese technical standards and Chinese equipment were used during the construction process.
