Xianxin Commune, a reportedly idyllic tourism resort complex located in Zhangjiagang city, is to welcome its first group of visitors on Oct 1.
The resort is located in the Changyinsha Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park of Zhangjiagang, a county-level city administered by Suzhou, in East China's Jiangsu province.

With a total investment of 150 million yuan ($23.2 million), the commune's first phase – a parent-child homestay project – has been completed. The second phase, an eco-friendly farm which will cover an area of 180 mu (12 hectares), has already started construction and is expected to open its doors for business next spring.

"The homestay has built seven buildings with 74 rooms, which can accommodate 200 visitors at the same time," said Ren Gaoli, an official at the Changyinsha Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park.
"Currently, we are applying for relevant certificates and licenses and trial operations are expected to begin in early September," Ren added.
The catering area has already had a test run. Apart from individual guests, it can stage themed banquets and lawn weddings, which can handle 200 people at a time, Ren said.
