The annual Taihu Lake Fishing Flavor Festival kicked off in Wuxi's Yuantouzhu scenic area -- also known as Turtle Head Isle -- on Sept 15.
The festival will last until November and will introduce themed travel routes along Taihu Lake to visitors, especially during the upcoming National Day holiday.
Yuantouzhu scenic area will extend its hours from Oct 1-7 and will hold outdoor musical concerts and boat trips for visitors to enjoy the wonderful waterside views at dusk.
A special performance inviting female performers to dance with lanterns in their hands will be held on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, which will fall on Oct 1 this year.

During the opening ceremony, a new leisure resort named Ying Hua Shan Zhuang, or Cherry Blossom Villa, was opened inside the Yuantouzhu scenic area. The resort draws many elements from cherry blossoms and features local architecture in harmony with the surrounding nature.
