Western Returned Scholars Association of Binhu launched

The Western Returned Scholars Association of Binhu was launched on June 18. It is meant to serve as an exchange platform for overseas returnees in Binhu district, Wuxi.

The association has 103 members who studied abroad and now work in Binhu. Their average age is 33 and over half have a master's degree.

The association's first council is headed by Xu Zhihan, who studied in the United States and is president of listed IC enterprise Maxscend Microelectronics Co.

Xu said the council will work to connect members through a variety of activities and help them unleash their full potential.

Chen Wei, head of the Wuxi Western Returned Scholars Association and president of Jiangnan University said during the launch ceremony that the association will help provide a talent pool for the high-quality development of Binhu.

Xu Feng, director of Binhu, gave a speech at the launch ceremony and encouraged more overseas returnees in Binhu to be innovators and entrepreneurs.
