Scenic spots in Binhu district, Wuxi will be gradually reopened to the public as the COVID-19 epidemic shows signs of slowing down, according to official tourism information.

Four popular scenic spots in the district, including Nianhua Bay, Wuxi Longsi Ecological Park, Wuxi Xuelang Mountain and the Flower Star at Wuxi Jiulong Bay recently announced plans to reopen.

Outdoor sightseeing areas at the scenic spots will be open to visitors while indoor areas will remain closed.

Various kinds of flowers now in full bloom at the scenic areas are a highlight of the early spring scenery.

Among the promotional policies rolled out by tourist attractions, some allow medical staff with certificates to visit for free and some allow visitors to enjoy reductions in ticket prices.

As part of epidemic prevention and control efforts, visitors are required to show a "green pass" (a green QR code which allows its holders to travel across Wuxi without worrying about coronavirus-related traffic restrictions), have their temperature taken at the entrance, and wear masks at all times.

Visitors should book tickets online using their real names. They will be asked to show the QR code for booking and identity cards before entering.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, Wuxi closed all of its tourist attractions Jan 24.
