Enterprises in Binhu district, Wuxi, have joined the fight against the coronavirus outbreak.
The New Sky and Bewis Sensing, two technology companies in Binhu, cooperated to provide an automatic weather station for the construction of the Huoshenshan Hospital, a makeshift hospital in Wuhan city, the epicenter of the outbreak in China.
The weather station is capable of monitoring the construction site in real time 24 hours a day and provides accurate meteorological data related to temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind direction, wind speed, and rainfall, helping immensely in the construction of the hospital.
Shi Guangtie, founder of Bewis Sensing and assistant professor at Beijing University, said it is an entrepreneur’s social responsibility to join the fight.
Sensor products and technology developed by high-caliber personnel at the company have also helped in the manufacture of more than 100 pieces of medical equipment to be used in frontline hospitals.
