The beginning of Binhu's first high-caliber personnel sports meet was announced at a ceremony in Binhu district on Nov 30.

Over the following two months, people will have the chance to participate in five-person soccer matches, three-person basketball matches, badminton matches, and Guan Dan (a card game).

Nearly 600 people who have contributed to the high-quality development of Binhu are expected to participate in the games.

The participants include graduates of prestigious universities who are now working at science and technology enterprises and institutes throughout the district.

The sporting event, held by the district's office of technology and talent affairs and its bureau of sports and tourism, is an effort by the district to enhance interaction among high-caliber personnel and encourage them to stay fit.
