Project teams from Binhu district performed well at the 2019 Wuxi Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, which ended on Aug 31.

The "Gas turbine maintenance and repair technology" project developed by the Wuxi Institute of Applied Technology of Tsinghua University won the first team prize.

The competition attracted projects focusing on emerging industries such as electronic information, advanced manufacturing and biomedicine from 539 companies and teams at home and abroad.

In the final, 41 companies and teams won and shared more than 1.7 million yuan ($240,133). They will also enjoy supporting policies to help develop the winning projects.
