Xu's singling out of the post-production team highlights one of the most important stages of filmmaking. And the studios plan to develop that area of their business, according to Gao Yalin, vice-president of China Television Actor Association.

He introduced a new project called "Film +" Burning Dream Plan in his speech, which involves the setting up of a new platform for entrepreneurs involved in post-production.

The ambitious plan has been in the pipeline for the past two and a half years, and has received total investment of more than 2 billion yuan ($289.5 million). In addition, the 2-billion-yuan WuxiStudio Film Fund and Hele "Film +" Fund, which is worth up to 1.5 billion yuan signed an agreement with each other.
