The annual Wuxi International Cherry Blossom Festival, running from March 1 to May 1 this year, kicked off at the Yuantouzhu (Turtle Head Isle) scenic spot in Binhu district in Wuxi, Jiangsu province.

Turtle Head Isle, known as the paradise of cherry blossoms, is a small peninsula resembling a turtle head in the northwest of Taihu Lake. It attracts lots of tourists every year.

The first batch of cherry blossoms is now in full bloom. Tourists can not only enjoy the beautiful and unique scenery during the daytime but also at night. Colorful glowing lights can be seen on the cherry blossoms in the evening from March 22 to April 7.

Visitors can also enjoy a series of activities such as a dance show on March 10, a night running event on March 22 and a cosplay performance on March 23-24.
