Steamed crabs with soybean sauce give new luster to Jiangnan cuisine

The Sheraton Wuxi Binhu Hotel’s Yue Chinese Restaurant, on the second floor, has a magnificent decor and welcoming style. It has some tantalizing new dishes, such as fried rice cakes with hairy crabs, snowflake beef with cereal grains, fried crab meat, long snout catfish balls with crab roe, and spring chicken, which the chef recommends for autumn. Autumn and winter are the best seasons for Jiangnan crabs, with one classic dish from Benbang (local) cuisine being Dazha crabs from Taihu Lake and finger-shaped rice cakes, which are a great match for the oil and soybean sauce with glutinous rice.
