Over the past several years, the Wuxi government has put nearly 10 billion yuan into developing a 38-km shoreline with a 910-hectare water area, a Shibawan ecology scenic area, and a Lihu Lake Scenic Area with landscaping on 300 hectares of land.

The government has emphasized the Lihu Lake area to show the uniqueness of gardens in the south of the Yangtze River. It combines modern gardens with 15 popular tourist parks, including Lihu Park, Central Park, Bogong Island Ecological Park, Shuiju Garden, Changguang River Wetland Park, Baojie Park, and Guangshe Villa.

The government has also renovated the Changguang River Wetland Science Popularization Museum, West Causeway, Li Causeway, and Lihu Lake Exhibition Museum for recreation.

The scenic area provides catering, pleasure boats, and culture and entertainment, making it the ideal place for leisure and tourism.
