Taihu International Cherry Blossom Festival gets underway

According to park officials, this year's festival will have three designated traveling routes featuring walking, riding and the use of waterways. Various historical attractions have been included, helping combine natural beauty with cultural charm.

From March 23 to April 4, the scenic spot will host night-themed activities where visitors will be able to experience cherry blossoms in a light and shadow show. A music festival, animation festival, cheongsam (Chinese traditional dress) show and camping party are also expected to brighten up the night.

To reduce traffic during the festival, the scenic spot has introduced a passenger transport service linking the city's train station and airport to the park, as well as adding nearly 1,000 parking spots. An automatic ticketing service will also be available allowing visitors to can scan QR codes to buy their tickets.
