Clay figurines, Wuxi embroideries, landscape photos, paper-cuttings, calligraphy and performances appeared at the International Fringe Theatre Festival-Acco 2015, Israel , on Oct 1. This was China's first time at the event, reported wxrb.com.

China was the festival's main guest of honor this year. Commissioned by the Chinese Ministry of Culture, Wuxi undertook a series of activities.

Yosef Ben David, mayor of Tiberias, Wuxi's sister city in Israel, lauded Wuxi's scenery after visiting the picture show, and said he'd like to take the landscape photos to Tiberias for display.

In addition, folk songs, clay figurines, Wuxi embroideries, tea art and calligraphy were well received, bringing the essence of Chinese culture to Israel.

A Chinese delegation reached an initial agreement with Jerusalem's cultural section on further cooperation at the Jerusalem Arts Festival and the China Shanghai International Arts Festival.

The event is a four-day performing arts festival held annually in Acre, Israel, during the Intermediate Days of the Sukkot holiday in early autumn.

The festival features a competition of original plays, along with local and foreign theatre productions, street theatre and open-air performances. There are also concerts, workshops and lectures.
