The 2014 Tour of Taihu Lake, a major road cycling event to take place in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai from Nov 1 to 9, will kick off and hold an opening ceremony in Binhu district of Wuxi, Jiangsu province.

Over 200 athletes from 20 intercontinental and national teams all over the world will take part in the event.

Cheng Hong, deputy director of the district, asked the relative departments to make good preparations and cooperate with each other to ensure the success of the event.
