Wuxi hosts IOT Expo

The city of Wuxi, Jiangsu province, hosted the fifth China International Internet of Things (Sensor Network) Expo from Sept 25 to 27.

The exhibition in the city's Binhu district, covering an area of 480 square meters, was attended by 11 IOT (Internet of Things) enterprises. They displayed IOT applications and business modes in such domains as intelligent community, transportation, agriculture and power.

The district's IOT industry enjoyed smooth development this year. The IOT output value reached 13.3 billion yuan ($2.2 billion) in the first eight months of the year, with a year-on-year growth of 23 percent. It is expected to exceed 20 billion yuan by the end of the year.

A total of 40 projects won support from the city's special fund for IOT, with the number ranking second in the whole city.
