The cloud service provider ChinaC in Binhu district of Wuxi, Jiangsu province, recently launched what it claimed is the first cloud service standard for the Chinese cloud service industry.

The contents of this standard include opening cloud hosting in five minutes for new users and completing system re-installation and reboots within five minutes.

At present, the Chinese cloud computing industry does not have unified service standards and the mainstream manufacturers have their own criteria.

According to Xu Guangbin, president and CEO of the company, ChinaC has launched an "ice bucket challenge" in the cloud service industry.

In August, Microsoft's cloud service platform Windows Azure went down, resulting in service breakdown at several of its data centers. "Both foreign companies and domestic giants should pay attention to cloud services," said Xu.

The company will deliver unified-standard services in 20 data centers in 15 cities, according to Xu.

Wuxi, as a national trial city of cloud services, has enjoyed fast development in the cloud computing industry with an industrial output value increasing by 57 percent year-on-year in the first half of this year. Companies such as ChinaC and Sugon have become leading enterprises in their domains.
