The science and technology association of the Binhu district of Wuxi, Jiangsu province, recently announced that its Meihu area got a "national science popularization demonstration community" award from the China Science and Technology Association and Finance Ministry, making Meihu the district's second science popularization winner, after the Shuixiu community.

Meihu has been working on science popularization with the support of local associations and has used low-carbon life and science popularization activities to increase public participation in science popularization. It also provides popular science lectures every month and informs the public about the latest scientific developments via community LED screens and mobile phone messages.
