There are 41 manufacturers in Binhu district of Wuxi city with a net output value above 1 billion yuan in the first half of 2014.

Booyitech has a doubled net increase of 310 million yuan, while Best, Jinghui Electronics and Hongda Heavy Forging Products have nearly doubled their taxes in a year-on-year basis. The Jan - June data show clear, steady progress in the district’s manufacturing business, with 424 enterprises expected to have an output value of 24.8 billion yuan, up 2.7 percent in the first half.

And manufacturing wasn’t the only area to show steady progress in the first half, because modern services in the district showed rapid development as did emerging industries. And, total sales of consumer goods reached 4.1 billion yuan, up 9.5 percent year on year. Also, 56 catering enterprises in the district saw incomes of 440 million yuan, up 36.6 percent from last year’s same period, and 650 out of 1,371 emerging industry companies showed strong sales growth, with income of 11.2 billion yuan, up eight percent, and taxes of 970 million yuan, up 16.7 percent.
