The Economy and Information Technology Bureau’s Small to Mid-sized Enterprise Development Center, in the Binhu district of Wuxi has reported that the city’s Bank of China and Agricultural Bank of China branches will provide emergency loans for small–to-mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) together with Bank of Jiangsu and Rurual Commercial Bank branches, on July 14.

In the first half of this year, the city established a platform for "blood transfusions" (emergency loans) for SMEs, which has had business transactions in 41 district enterprises, amounting to 113 million yuan in all, with the largest amount as much as 8 million yuan and the smallest around 4 million.

It is believed that this will better promote the development of SMEs and meet the demands for emergency funding. Currently, the platform is working on improve its services, and any SME in need can log onto the official website of the Economy and Information Technology Bureau or phone for consultation.
