The Binhu district recently got ‘high-tech’ certification for 18 of its products from Jiangsu province’s Science and Technology Dept, or 63.6 percent more than for last year.

Three of them are from the Wuxi NCE Power Co, which specializes in design, production and sale of high-power semiconductor and power integration devices. A leader in the high-power semiconductor industry, the company relies on innovation in “New power” and “NCE power”, with several international patents.

The district encourages its enterprises to apply for product certification, even though it brings no cash reward, because it displays the level of innovation and increase popularity and competitiveness. It also gives the company more weight in applying for project subsidies.
