The Binhu district of Wuxi’s first urban complex, Coastal City, opened on June 29, and had 70,000 visitors the first day, since about 85 percent of its shops have already opened offering brands that are popular with young people, such as Uniqlo and Muji.

Over the next two months, subway Line 1, which is nearby, will help make the complex a hot item, with its one-stop shopping that offers a supermarket, fashionable clothing, dining, entertainment, a playground, and cinema, with dozens of popular brands and lifestyles.

People in urban development say that Costal City has brought more life and entertainment to the area, which previously only dealt with business.

There will soon be three other shopping malls near Costal City, further enriching the area by meeting the needs of local people.
