Zhangjiagang has expanded its global investment presence with the opening of the Suzhou (Zhangjiagang) Korea Business Cooperation Center in Hwaseong, South Korea.
Designed as an overseas outpost for investment promotion, resource matching, and enterprise services, the center aims to foster cooperation between Chinese and South Korean businesses.

Hwaseong was selected due to its shared industrial strengths with Zhangjiagang. Positioned at the core of South Korea's semiconductor corridor, Hwaseong hosts major industry players including Samsung, SK Hynix, ASML, and ASM within a one-hour drive.
The initiative is led by Fenghuang town, Zhangjiagang's key portal for South Korean trade with over 30 years of collaboration experience. Over the next three years, Fenghuang town plans to focus its investment strategy on semiconductor equipment, key components, and biomanufacturing.
The launch coincided with the Sino-South Korean (Zhangjiagang) Innovation Park Investment Seminar, where local leaders presented the region's supply chain capabilities and business environment. During the event, key agreements were signed on South Korean semiconductor and biomanufacturing projects, while tech partnerships were also established.
Functioning as a two-way industrial accelerator, the new center will utilize local industry networks and venture institutions to capture cross-border investment opportunities and drive high-tech manufacturing growth in Zhangjiagang.
