The Yonglian Art Museum opened on Aug 20 in Zhangjiagang, presenting its inaugural exhibition, Imagine the Universe as a Garden by Nhozagri.
The new public cultural and art space brings together four types of experiences: art exhibitions, immersive experiences, cultural exchanges and public education. The museum aims to support emerging young artists and build a more fluid public cultural network, making art a language for social interaction and connecting people from different backgrounds.
The museum features a family interaction area offering creative workshops for families, a niche aesthetics area for in-depth salons and themed discussions, and an emerging artists' exhibition area showcasing the vitality of young artists through quarterly exhibitions.
The inaugural exhibition, Imagine the Universe as a Garden, brings the vastness of the universe into a childhood backyard. Visitors can rediscover forests, starry skies and otherworldly life forms, while also reconnecting with the eyes through which they first explored the world. The exhibition will run through Nov 20.
